Bean has exhibited in the United States and internationally, including the 2010 Basel Castle, the 2009 Cochella Music and Arts Festival, the 2008 D.A.R. Electric Circus in Australia and the 2007 Atlanta Biennial. Bean contextualizes his formal artistic training within a pop cultural experience that combines video, music and performance, transforming the analog materials he gathers into a contemporary digital medium. According to Bean, art is randomized information. His work presents old media in a new context and he uses approximately 40,000 original and appropriated images and videos to create his live video projections.
